Alex led work on various landmark deals in Canada including CNOOC’s acquisition of Nexen, Burger King’s acquisition of Tim Hortons, Investments into the major LNG projects in Western Canada, an investor in the Trans Mountain Pipeline, and Enmax’ acquisition of Emera Maine. In parallel Alex worked on the sale of a number of private businesses.
His international experience includes time in Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Thailand, as well as London, UK. Alex also assisted many leading global companies with their initial acquisitions in China. Alex worked in KPMG Thailand, during the Asian Financial crisis to manage various Financial Restructurings. In March 2001, Alex established a formal Transaction Services - Due Diligence - practice in KPMG Tokyo.
Alex is a strategic and results-oriented senior finance executive delivering incremental value on Acquisitions, Disposals, Financings and IPOs for multinational public and private companies. He is a critical thinker and problem solver with innovative solutions, for diverse situations, with notably the liquidation of Lehman Brothers.
